Busser/Food Runner

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Ability to work with a genuine smile, adjust on the fly, and always serve at the highest standards of excellence. The cleanliness of our tables and expediency of our service are essential to providing a truly guest-inspired experience.

In these positions, you may be required to:

  • Maintain and prepare tables for guests, removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to spills or other guest needs
  • Provide for and replenish or replace waters, utensils, napkins, etc. as needed
  • Promptly and efficiently deliver food and beverages
  • Engage promptly and energetically with a genuine smile
  • Open and hold doors for guests whenever possible
  • Assist in preparations as needed or as directed, and always look for opportunities to assist your colleagues
  • Remain professional and welcoming at all times
  • Protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies
  • Must be able to work flexible shifts and schedules as required, including weekends and some holidays

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Age: Must be at least 18 years of age based upon state requirements to serve alcohol
  • Experience: One year industry experience
  • Minimum Education: High school diploma or GED
  • Familiarity with industry best practices

ADDITIONAL COMPETENCIES 

  • Communication:
    • Must be able to communicate effectively with colleagues and guests
    • Basic math skill proficiency
    • Bilingual preferred (English and Spanish)
  • Professional maturity: Ability to separate emotional feelings from real issues, meet commitments, keep the promises you make, and accept the responsibility of your actions
